Manalapan (NJ) WR Saeed Blacknall tells me he was offered by the Buckeyes today. If you remember, Blacknall got a visit from Urban Meyer to his school back in December, and said at the time of his interest in Ohio State:
I have really high interest in Ohio State. It's a really good school, a big school, and they play in the Big Ten. If they offer me they will be right up at the top of my list for sure. I would be extremely happy to have the opportunity to be a Buckeye one day.
Now that Blacknall has 10 offers to his name (Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan, Boston College, UConn, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Pitt, Old Dominion, and Maryland), recruiting is really starting to heat up for him.
He is ranked as a four-star prospect and the nation's 19th best wide receiver according to the 247 Composite.
On receiving the offer from Ohio State: "I'm very excited about this!"
On when he will visit Columbus: "I think I will be able to visit some time this spring or summer"
On where OSU stands on his current list of offers: "I won't know for sure until I see the campus and check out other schools. When I do that I can tell you where all of the schools stand"
On who extended the offer: "Coach Warinner offered me. He is my recruiter."
We'll definitely be keeping in touch with Blacknall to keep you posted on his recruitment and I plan to get out to at least one of his games this coming season to provide you with some footage and a video interview.
