Kyrin Priester of Snellville (GA) is a 2013 wide receiver commit for North Carolina State. He confirmed that he had an offer from Ohio State last night.
After talking with Priester, he said he will visit Clemson this upcoming weekend.
He now has decided to visit Ohio State officially the following weekend. That visit would be the 25-27 of January.
It is something to keep an eye on going forward. North Carolina State is getting pushed hard by Clemson and Ohio State.

Derek, what do you think the deal is with this?
Thanks Derek!! Between you,Myles, and Gene, you all are killin it with all these recruiting updates/news!! Would be nice to get another carolina kid and nab another one away from the south!! Added bonus,we NEED WR"s.
SCOTTC.
Something has to be going on... Is Gibson out? Why all of a sudden after having Gibson, Smith, and Elder on campus are we calling and going after multiple other WR's? Did the staff get some info on Gibson after this weekend that turned them off to him?
Yah I agree with you Buckeye, just makes me wonder what the heck is going on and why we are offering these 2013 WR's at the last moment. Seems they either putting pressure by offering these recruits or they don't have a good vibe about them committing.
I have a feeling there's something going on with current target(s) or this wouldn't be happening.

I'm not sure why you were downvoted for voicing a valid concern so I balanced you out. I agree that something must be going on with Gibson and/or Smith for OSU to be giving out late offers to Priester and Clark. That's what you have to love about Meyer though with re: to recruting -- he leaves no stone unturned.

The issue might also be with our *current roster* of WRs. Too many slot receivers, several of them just not cutting it in terms of talent and work ethic (perhaps injuries play a role). Might we see some transfers out?
runs a 4.55 40? 3 star? hhhmm i know a kid not far from me who runs a much faster 40 and wants to be a buckeye.
Timmons?
high school 40 times are worthless.
Obligatory reminder that Robert Foster ran a 4.55.
It's tremendously simple to figure out. The staff wants a true WR. Timmons doesn't play WR. Thus, the staff doesn't want Timmons.
Just wondering out loud...maybe this is a way for the staff to put pressure on the WR's that they do want to commit now and not wait until signing day
They've moved on from Timmons when they told him not to come last week.
They are obviously not feeling good about landing who was on campus this past weekend, or dont want to land who was on campus this past weekend. I don't even know what it is at this point. Trying to dig up something on Corey Smith and Shelton Gibson.
But if they are handing out offers to James Clark and Ky Priester, they're feeling doubt on current targets.
And 439LawDog- Not true at all. It has never been about having indecision when it has come to Smth and Gibson. No need to pressure them. Gibson wants to be at OSU and Smith was committed to Mississippi State. If he wasn't sure about committing to OSU, wouldn't have made visit.
Could they just be covering their bases in case Bell and the O-Line targets don't commit? Is there a world in which the last 4 spots go to Gibson, Smith, and 2 of Elder, Clark, and Priester.
Still bummed the staff didn't offer Timmons kid seems like s special player and would have fit that Percy Harvin Roll pretty well
So we've been told...
WOW, it's pretty telling that the first page of Google Results is only 11W threads and nothing from recruiting sites or anything else. It's also pretty telling that the staff has offered Gibson, Elder, Smith, Clark, and now Priester and not yet offered Timmons. That ship has definitely sailed. He'll be good for UK though, and I'm guessing will have a nice college career.
The search on google was only for articles on 11W
And forum posts, it rejected my subpage request to just search the forums.
yes timmons has moved on, the courier journal in louisville reported monday that timmons cancelled his visit, as he has new offers and other visits to make, as reported by steve jones. i wish the kid good luck.
As Derek said above: "They've moved on from Timmons when they told him not to come last week."
Urbz I got the story straight from the Coach. He had 2 visits remaining and he wasnt going to waste one WITHOUT an offer especially with a dozen calls coming in from schools just now beginning to offer.
I agree with EVERYONE that tOSU ship has sailed, but know as a fact who cancelled.
I do not want to guess the - vote. Just leave a reply if you got a pair. I will do the same if I ever give a - The crowd is on your side so go ahead
As an NC State grad, this one would hurt them though....Priester is State's marquee commit for 2013 right now.
Whether he ends up a Buckeye or a member of the Pack, I'll be happy. Anybody but Clemson...they have to be a nice looking team to WR prospects I'll admit.

James Quick lite? I like it, let's get him!
Just a life long Buckeye fan wanting to talk to other lifelong Buckeye fans. Our honor defend, we will fight to the end for OOO HIIII OOOOOO!
At this stage of the process, the staff is only making committable offers (to 2013 players), right? Or, are there any circumstances where they could offer non-committable offers?
I think for sure giving the limited numbers they're working with, any offer at this stage in the game would have to be commitable.

Hopefully the 11W staff can dig up some info on what is going on. I trust the OSU staff and know they have a plan, but it looks like they're scrambling to cover their bases on Gibson now. I don't know what to think. I just hope we can land 3-4 complete studs at the skill positions in 2014.
Updated for visit 1/25
That's pretty good that they were able to set up a visit with this kid so quick.
@Alex... Do you have any idea what is going on?
From talking to Priester, if Ohio State wants to move forward with this kid, they have a legitimate chance.
Interesting. I just saw that Priester, who is from Georgia, had committed to the Bulldogs in April and then decommitted in June. He visited other SEC schools like South Carolina, only to commit NC State in October. Of course, NC State's coach was shown the door, so the OSU offer probably is intriguing to him. Glad he's visiting.
Bring him in, sign him up, and keep making inroads to Georgia. That state is loaded with talent.
