The 2026 Big Ten football season is almost here.
With preseason camps just around the corner for Ohio State and the Big Ten’s other 17 member schools, the conference is hosting its annual Big Ten Media Days this week. Instead of returning to Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium or Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay, this year’s event takes place at the Hilton Chicago from Tuesday through Thursday.
Ohio State head coach Ryan Day, quarterback Julian Sayin, wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and safety Jaylen McClain are representing the Buckeyes in the Windy City. Day will take part in a 15-minute press conference and a 45-minute breakout session Wednesday afternoon, while Ohio State’s three players will each participate in 30-minute breakout sessions shortly after their coach leaves the podium.
Tuesday’s media day featured appearances from Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti and representatives from Illinois, Rutgers, Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa and USC. Wednesday’s lineup includes Ohio State, Minnesota, Michigan State, Purdue, UCLA and Oregon, while Thursday’s session features Nebraska, Maryland, Michigan, Northwestern, Washington and Indiana.
