Ohio State's sports teams will have a jersey patch sponsor on their uniforms for the first time this season.
The Buckeyes announced Tuesday that Chase Bank will become the first-ever jersey patch sponsor for all 36 of Ohio State's varsity sports as part of an agreement between the university and JPMorganChase. While Ohio State did not disclose the financial terms of the partnership, ESPN's Pete Thamel reported the deal is expected to generate nearly $17 million annually for the Buckeyes. In addition to the jersey patch sponsorship, JPMorganChase will provide NIL opportunities and financial literacy resources to Ohio State athletes through "dedicated programming," according to a news release.
Ohio State football will debut the Chase Bank jersey patch as part of its new football uniforms featuring Buckeye stripes when it opens its season against Ball State on Sept. 5 at Ohio Stadium.
