If true, then this really shows that the sanctions have teeth. The commits are going to be asking about them all day today and if they are bad, kids will go elsewhere.
Johnson will go to Pitt...Hackenberg to either UConn or Rutgers IMO... I dont think OSU will nab any of the decommits from PSU, few spots left, although I don't think youd say no to Johnson
Johnson is the only one that I can see them actually pursuing this year. Last year our circumstances were different and we had a class that was sorely lacking because we had been hammered for months in the media. Now, our class is mostly complete and a great class. We don't need 5 of their recruits this year.
Here are the tweets. He broke Penn State scandal in November, Shaq trade to Cavs, Fielder to Tigers and much more.

If this is indeed happening. The doors will be opened wide for D.Johnson. He is the only player we need out of their class. I would have to think their would be a very good chance he come on to OSU. Think his visit w/his family went great.
And lets not forget just because they aren't necessarily coming to Columbus doesn't mean it doesn't benefit us. Any time you get good players to decommit from a rival school its all good

I don't care how good D. Johnson is, I don't want any PSU recruits because of NCAA sanctions or penalties. I don't know what goofy information these recruits were given by O'Brien, but they should have known that penalties were coming. I don't see their hearts being Buckeyes.
Not sure if it's 100% accurate on Hackenberg, probably taken out of context, but his father noted that they are taking a cautious approach to what they will do. Ross Douglas may also decommit from the program
Some thought my Dorian Johnson thread was in "poor taste" last week.......now the flood gates are openin up!!! Urban needs to put in some work before he goes to Pitt. Will be a challenge!
I don't think Urban will pursue Dorian. I think that ship has sailed after committed to PSU. Pitt would be the school to fall back on since he wants to stay close to home. Pitt is only a 40 min drive from his home town.
I was thinking the same thing. If money is an issue, not sure why he doesn't check out Auburn / Bama / LSU. He'd be on the payroll just for making a visit.
@jugdish very good lol! I dont know if Auburn has enough left after flipping(getting him moved to a high school just outside of Auburn/getting him to decomit from Ala. who didn't pay enough) Robert Foster...Pitt might be the landing place if Johnson decomits since comming to Ohio will be a financial strain.
Does O'Brien even know what is going happen yet? I'm not sure he can guarantee his recruits (or even current players) anything right now till the NCAA makes their ruling.
Most of the players are saying that they are going to stick with PSU according to some tweets. I'm curious to see how many change their mind after the penalties come down though.
Dorian Johnson...come on down, (or over, one state over to be exact).

Well, if Webb isn't the beginning of decommitments from the scandal, then this is.

Whats IBN? And there is nothing else on this. I guess we will see.

If they get what they deserve, many will decommit

Dorian stated money troubles will keep him in the state of PA
+1
@Rural M. Dorian should check into what Auburn is paying if money is short.
Auburn is set at DT... Im sure Bama would offer him a nice 6-figure salary

What about getting Stanko? OL from Youngstown/Howland... if he isn't already enrolled

Hackenberg to talk to O'Brien tonight. South Carolina and Auburn are the next calls, if necessary, per @rivalsmike

Im guessing that yes he knows whats going to be announced before it gets announced to the public

This kid committed to PSU over Bama. Have a feeling he'll be SEC-bound, too. Auburn, Bama, South Carolina.

Bama already has a QB commit, and I dont think he goes to the south...but they do pay better down there
Bama has two commits, and one rumor is that Auburn has no room for him. Looks like USCe.
I think Hackenberg is gone. Wonder if Johnson decides to stay in state and attend PITT. If he leaves PA, I think we got a great chance.
