Three-star linebacker Braxton Rembert flips his commitment from Wake Forest to Ohio State.
One five-star is good. Two five-stars are better. Three five-stars are great.
Three is the number for Ohio State, as it has already proven to be great. In the latest rankings released by Rivals, the Buckeyes have three five-star commits in the 2026 class, all of whom are the top-ranked prospects at their respective position:
- Khary Wilder: No. 1 defensive lineman, No. 11 overall
- Jay Timmons: No. 1 cornerback, No. 12 overall
- Chris Henry Jr.: No. 1 wide receiver, No. 15 overall
The Ohio State Buckeyes now have THREE No. 1 Ranked Recruits at their respective positions:

Wilder jumped from No. 3 defensive lineman (No. 61 overall), Timmons from No. 11 cornerback (No. 87 overall) and Henry from No. 2 wide receiver (No. 14 overall). The latter actually fell one spot in the overall rankings but jumped to the top spot at his position.
Along with those three five-star commits, Ohio State also has four other commits ranked among Rivals’ top 100 players: Sam Greer (No. 5 offensive tackle, No. 33 overall), Blaine Bradford (No. 4 safety, No. 67 overall), Damari Simeon (No. 7 defensive lineman, No. 75 overall) and Cincere Johnson (No. 6 linebacker, No. 84 overall).
Ohio State leads the country with three five-star commits in the 2026 class, while LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame and Texas each have two.
The Buckeyes have been on quite a roll as far as commitments go in the 2026 class, as seven prospects – Timmons (Florida State), Emanuel Ruffin (Colorado), Legend Bey (Tennessee), Dre Quinn (Clemson), Mason Wilhelm (North Carolina), Nick Lautar (Louisville) and Braxton Rembert (Wake Forest) – have flipped to OSU in November. 2027 four-star safety Eli Johnson also committed to Ohio State this past weekend.
