2027 four-star offensive tackle Brody McNeel commits to Ohio State.
Tyler Bowen has now landed three commitments in the 2027 class.
After he landed commitments from in-state offensive linemen Kellen Wymer and Mason Wilt on Nov. 2, Bowen received a pledge from four-star Brody McNeel on Tuesday.
The Buckeyes strengthened their position with McNeel when the 6-foot-5, 285-pound lineman returned to Columbus for Ohio State’s matchup with UCLA, a visit that came shortly after he’d already called the Buckeyes the clear leader in his recruitment.
That return trip followed what McNeel described as a “perfect” first visit to Ohio State when he attended the season opener against Texas.

“It was amazing. Everything was perfect,” McNeel told Rivals’ Chad Simmons. “I got to see Ohio State play in person for the first time ever. Also got to go in the locker room after the game and go on the field. ... My biggest highlights were watching Ohio State win, meeting former players, going in the locker room after the game and seeing the offensive line coaches again."
Five days before the Buckeyes beat the Bruins, McNeel told On3's Steve Wiltfong that Ohio State was “definitely leading the way” in his recruitment. That proved true, as he committed to the Buckeyes on Tuesday.
The No. 23 offensive tackle and No. 234 overall prospect in the 2027 class, McNeel ranks between Wymer (No. 210) and Wilt (No. 518) in the cycle. Of Ohio State's now-seven commits in 2027, McNeel is the fifth-highest-rated prospect behind Ohio five-star wide receiver Jamier Brown, Texas four-star safety Eli Johnson, California four-star quarterback Brady Edmunds and Wymer.

McNeel becomes the fifth commitment in four days for Ohio State, joining Johnson, 2026 defensive end Dre Quinn, 2026 tight end Nick Lautar and 2026 linebacker Braxton Rembert. All five players were in attendance for the Buckeyes’ 48-10 win over UCLA on Saturday.
