Welcome to the Skull Session.

What did I call the Skull Sessions with a lot of #content?

Was it a Rapid Fire Skull Session?

It was.

OK, I have a lot to share on a Monday, so here’s another one of those.

Before we dive in, please…

Have a good Monday.

THE HEISMAN CONNECTION. It’s Monday, and I feel like I’ve discussed my Purdue takeaways ad nauseam thanks to Eleven Warriors Live and the Eleven Dubcast. Julian Sayin and Jeremiah Smith are good at football, Ohio State needs more consistency at right guard, the Silver Bullets continue to Silver Bullet — you know, all the good stuff.

So, I’ll open the Rapid Fire Skull Session with these electric videos from Ohio State football’s creative team:

They cooked with those.

NO, IT’S YOUR HEISMAN. OK, wait. I’ll write this. I love that Sayin and Smith picked each other to win the Heisman. I love it so much.

“Jeremiah Smith, the guy is special,” Sayin said when asked to name his Heisman winner. “He’s a great player.”

“That’s Julian Sayin’s trophy right there,” Smith said. “The Heisman goes to Julian Sayin.”

Personally, I think we should follow Caleb Downs’ lead here.

“I feel like why could just give it to Ohio State and really just name two people as Heisman,” Downs said.

I like that idea.

I like it a lot.

THE BROTHERHOOD IS REAL. These kinds of videos make me smile:

The Brotherhood is real!

HAVE A DAY, TREY! As someone who drafted TreVeyon Henderson in three of my four fantasy football leagues — yes, I have four teams, don’t judge me — I was over the moon to see Mike Vrabel come to his senses and finally let TreVeyon Henderson be… well, TreVeyon Henderson on Sunday.

The former Ohio State running back carried the ball 14 times for 147 yards and two touchdowns in the New England Patriots’ 28-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both of Henderson’s scores were House Calls — one from 55 yards out and another from 69.

A hilarious part of Henderson’s second touchdown is that he looked to the Patriots’ sideline and asked if he should score.

“It honestly felt good,” Henderson said of his performance. “This season comes with a lot of ups and downs in the NFL, and I’m learning that. But I thank God for the way he’s allowed it to go because he’s matured me a lot in my faith. He drew me closer to him. He’s been drawing me closer to him during the season and just helping me to keep my eyes on him. I’ve been just trying to trust the process, and being present in the moment, and just trying to put in the days. Each and every practice, just try to come to work. During gametime, whatever opportunity comes my way, just try my best to take advantage of it. But at the end of the day, I want God to have his way and not my will but his will be done.”

With an attitude like that and talent like his, Henderson has the chance to be special in the NFL. I can’t wait to see what he does the rest of the season — and the rest of his career.

JSN, MVP? Last week, ESPN’s Andrew Hawkins made headlines when he said, “Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the actual MVP of the NFL.”

“We can make all the mental gymnastics we want to about the quarterbacks, but nobody is really dominating. That’s why everybody has an opinion,” Hawkins said. “The person who is dominating is JSN.”

Most people ridiculed the take. But then JSN popped off again on Sunday, collecting five catches for 93 yards and one touchdown in the Seattle Seahawks’ 44-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, JSN joins Antonio Brown (2014) and Michael Irvin (1995) as the only players in NFL history with at least 75 receiving yards in each of their first nine games of the season.

With 63 catches, 1,041 receiving yards and five touchdowns this season, does JSN have a case to win MVP?

Yeah, probably.

Will he win MVP?

No, probably not.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, JSN has the 14th-best odds to win MVP this season at +10,000. Drake Maye has the best odds at +300, followed by Matthew Stafford (+300), Jonathan Taylor (+500), Patrick Mahomes (+600), Josh Allen (+700), Sam Darnold (+800), Jalen Hurts (+2000), Jordan Love (+2000), Lamar Jackson (+3000), Justin Herbert (+3000), Jared Goff (+3000), Baker Mayfield (+3000) and Daniel Jones (+6000).

BOOOOOOM. Between Sept. 21 and Oct. 16, Ohio State landed four commitments:

Then, from Sunday to Sunday, the Buckeyes shifted into another gear, adding five more commitments in eight days:

Ohio State is hot, hot, hot.

According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, the Buckeyes are about to be even hotter.

Stay tuned.

OLYMPIC VILLAGE. It’s been a minute since I’ve done an Olympic Village. Allow me to share about Ohio State’s women’s basketball and wrestling teams, both of which earned season-opening wins on Sunday.

Women’s basketball beat Coppin State 88-59 at Value City Arena. Sophomore sensation Jaloni Cambridge led Ohio State with 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Chance Gray (17) and Kennedy Cambridge (11) also reached double figures as 11 Buckeyes scored in the 29-point win.

Wrestling beat Chattanooga 42-4 at McKenzie Arena. Eight of 10 Buckeyes secured bonus-point victories in the dual, including one pin from Landon Desselle (157); six technical falls from Ben Davino (133), Jesse Mendez (141), Paddy Gallagher (165), Carson Kharchla (174), Dylan Fishback (184) and Nick Feldman (HWT); and one major from Billy Meisner (149).

You can’t win ‘em all unless you win your first!

DAILY DUBCAST. The first Eleven Dubcast of the week recaps the win for Ohio State over Purdue this past weekend before examining where the Heisman Trophy race goes from here given the candidacies of Julian Sayin, Jeremiah Smith and Fernando Mendoza.

SONG OF THE DAY. "Carmen Ohio" - TBDBITL.

CUT TO THE CHASE. Paul Tagliabue, NFL commissioner of 17 years who led an era of riches and expansion, dies at 84...  Lenny Wilkens, godfather of Seattle basketball, dies at 88... The cold truth is you may not know the best way to use a refrigerator... LSU and Brian Kelly are at odds over his contract buyout, and his reps have set a deadline.
