Ranking anywhere from No. 1 to No. 6 in the various preseason polls floating around the internet, Ryan Day's squad is obviously loaded with talent and capable of making another run at a B1G title and a CFP championship.
That said, Ohio State lost a ton of talent to the NFL Draft including Caleb Downs, Arvell Reese, Sonny Styles, Carnell Tate and Kayden McDonald, to name a few. As such, the Next Man Up mantra will be tested. The Buckeyes also welcome a new offensive coordinator in Arthur Smith that should impact the look of the offense.
So as we near the end of June, what is your biggest question that must be answered on offense and your biggest question that must be answered on defense for Ohio State to realize its potential this fall?
On offense, my first thought was how will the offensive line shake out with Ian Moore good enough to start and Austin Siereveld good enough to play multiple spots. But I think my biggest question right now that needs answered is who will emerge as Ohio State's No. 2 receiver alongside Jeremiah Smith and will that person (and the others) be good enough to give Smith enough room to operate as defenses key on containing him.
On defense, I see many more question marks due to roster turnover but I think the biggest for me is whether the defensive line will be able to consistently control the line of scrimmage and generate a decent pass rush in matchup games.
