Who is he? Is he a top priority? Running Back.
He's a stud
Gray boxes must be on sale!
Damn, this is crazy!!!Fiire sale on who commits to Buckeyes in 2014!!! This guy is gonna be super sick, watch and see.I know we are after flashier guys and bigger guys, but glad coaches let this kid commit now, instead of making him wait!!
SCOTTC.
Not sure I like this commitment so early. Thought his offer was noncommitable until after they knew the decisions on Hurd, Autry and Haden. I guess this probably means Haden won't be a part of the class
Read on twitter between a couple of people I follow from bucknuts that this kid is only 16 and he has yet to hit his development and will be an absolute stud. He is fast...
I love this, puts pressure on other backs that if they want in on this class, they're gonna have to pony up and commit or their spot will be gone.Think we may only take 1 more RB with smaller class this year.Been high on Campbell ever since we offered him.
SCOTTC.
+1 BUCKEYEKRIME You got me by 51 seconds. Parris looks like a good one!

Doesn't seem like the recruiting sites are all that familiar with him yet, but I see him as one of those guys who's going to start picking up steam next year (especially now if he's an OSU commit since the recruiting insiders will pay attention). Already has an MSU and TENN offer, though. Under the radar guy, video looks pretty darn good.
I don't really know how OSU is going to use him. Running backs were looking good with Jalen hurd and a couple others.. Campbell may be used as a WR or slot type of guy down the road.
This definitely is going to put pressure on kids to get on the Urban train with 2014 being a small class. That makes 5 already. People only expect us to take 18-20.
Also, on another note. Just saw he is from SVSM, same school as Dante Booker. I know everyone says were the landslide leader for Booker, but it doesn't hurt us to have his teammate committed.
Will be used in similar role to Dontre Wilson hes gonna be 16 as a SR next year so hes very young for his age. Raw but very talented and fast and doesnt mean anything with Autry and Hurd. Hurd is all RB and Autry is their top slot guy.
awesome!this is crazy.do these kids realize were playing the #1 bb team now, this is alot to handle at one time.but a good overwelmed feeling to have.great day!DAMN good.
knucklehead
This kid looks like an awesome prospect! His acceleration and speed are impressive and he's 6", not bad. Just another offensive weapon for Urb... Now let's just get an elite QB and Lattimore. Pretty please.
The way Urban and Co are killing it, I feel like a spoiled brat expecting more commits.
And by the way, three commits in one day? Phenominal. Michigan fans crying like bitches, downplaying the commit of Lawrence Marshall? Sensational. Michigan fans STILL crying about the Damon Webb commitment? Hilarious. Urban Meyer? Unstoppable. Incredible. Ridiculous. Prenuptials. Count Chocula... Frank Caliendo.

Good night.
I remember him in the State Championship Game. Booker and Campbell really stood out in that game. Didn't realize he was only 15. That's crazy. Huge difference between a 15 year old and 17 and 18 year olds which most varsity starter's are. Not to mention he put up numbers playing at just any D3 school. Those guys play a pretty freaking tough schedule. I know they plau Ursuline, Mooney and Massillon. Plus he's 6 feet tall already at 15. He could end up being huge.

The one thing that does bother me a little is that it is DIII. I mean, I've watched 100+ live DII games and I don't think that's even a difficult level of competition. The difference between DI and DIII is insane. That being said, I trust the staff's judgement of him as an individual player. He and Booker are both really good.
LeBron went to SVSM. The level of competition he faced in HS didn't seen to hinder his ceiling too much.
My school is D3. A public D3 that is traditionally a pretty good program. Almost always in the playoffs. Several regional titles been to a couple state championship games, and trust me when I tell you there is a very real difference between your average D3 school, and schools like St.V St. M. They level of talent they play is not a concern for me at all. They played. Walsh Jesuit, Cardinal Mooney, Youngstown Ursuline, Massillon Washington. Then of course won a state title. They played good football teams. In the interest of full disclosure my school knocked St.V-St.M out of the playoffs in the state semi-finals several years ago back when they had LBJ, and we where D4 back then. Not bad for a bunch of farm boys.

16!? Holy crap, that is pretty crazy young. We should be comparing him to the past sophmore class!
Not really that young. It just means his birthday hasn't occured yet. For all we know his birthday is tomorrow and he will be 17 and a "normal" age.
He's 15 and his 16th birthday has not occured yet. He skipped Kindergarten.
Edit: see Derek's post below.
Ok thanks for the info, guy above me said 16 like it was really young, I do agree 15 is really young. To think he will be signing his NLOI at 16 is crazy.
Anyone got a 40 time on this kid?
not sure of 40 time, but has personal best of under 11 seconds in 100...and that was as a sophomore.
The coaching staff uses the 10.6 benchmark for shifty/slot/pivot players, so that wouldn't hurt.
Assuming the guy in the background of the video with tOSU letterman jacket is Doran Grant?
He is very fast. And only a 15 year old junior. Will be 16 not until July so a high ceiling.
He put on a show in front of Urban and OSU coaches at the DIII state title game.
I talked to him already. He dreamed of playing for OSU so jumped on the offer immediately.
Derek, can you confirm that is Doran Grant in the background?
Nice pickup with this one. Not sure about that competition but I don't care, kid has game and that is all that matters. Plus I like how he is already a big kid and can grow into his body more. He could be as big as Rod Smith with his speed too!
He is skilled enough to be a slot player but I just think he will keep growing and become a power back with speed. Could turn into one of those special once in a lifetime RB if he gets up to 235-240.
Keep growing son!
That was Doran Grant in the background posing for pictures with Dante Booker too.
Embed of Parris' scouting video (I hadn't seen it on here yet)

Kid just shifts to whatever speed he needs to elude the D. Impressive.
15 year old with that speed?
"Oh...HELLO!"
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
Here are two links from McCallister Scouting mentioning Parris Campbell
&
St Vincent-St Mary High School.
Speed and toughness are two words to describe St Vincent-St Mary. WR/DB Jordan Hargrove (2013) could be one of the most under rated football players in the Class of 2013. Big, listed 6'0-180, and strong. Excellent 40 speed. Really athletic. Excellent ball skills. Makes plays. Parris Campbell (2014) is in much the same mold as Hargrove. Fast, big (6' 0-170) and excellent burst. Gets north/south. Good balance. Needs better hips at
corner. Tougher than I expected. One of the top linebackers in the Class of 2014 is Dante Booker. Listed 6'3-215, he play a lot of positions. Even moves out to WR. Runs fast and closes well. Like his change of direction. Reacts to ball well. Really athletic. Finishes plays. Frame to add much weight/strength.
Linked is Rivals top 75 for Ohio.
Parris Campbell is currently #15 and inbetween other four star prospects--so squarely a four star player, as if there was any doubt.
