Originally recruited to Ohio State as a tight end, Witten moved to wide receiver but was never able to climb the depth chart. He appeared in just one game for one snap as a true freshman in 2024 and never made a game appearance in 2025, giving him reason to look for an opportunity to play elsewhere.
An Opportunity is all I need.

Ranked as the No. 467 overall prospect in the 2024 class, Witten enrolled at Ohio State alongside his Glenville High School teammate Bryce West, who also announced his intent to enter the transfer portal on Thursday.
Witten becomes the second wide receiver from Ohio State’s 2025 roster to announce he’ll enter the transfer portal, joining Bryson Rodgers, who announced he’d enter the portal in December and left the team before the Cotton Bowl.
Witten becomes the ninth overall scholarship player from Ohio State’s 2025 roster to announce he’ll enter the portal, also joining quarterback Lincoln Kienholz, tight end Jelani Thurman, running back Sam Dixon and defensive ends C.J. Hicks, Dominic Kirks and Logan George.
