More preseason honors continue to roll in for Ohio State.
Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and offensive lineman Austin Siereveld were named preseason first-team All-Americans by the Walter Camp Football Foundation on Tuesday, while quarterback Julian Sayin earned second-team recognition.
Smith, who also earned Walter Camp All-American honors following the 2025 season — one of five major outlets that contributed to his unanimous All-American status alongside the AP, FWAA, AFCA, and Sporting News — is widely regarded as one of the top players in college football entering his junior year in 2026. Across 29 appearances over the past two seasons, he has totaled 163 receptions for 2,558 receiving yards and 29 total touchdowns.
Siereveld emerged last season as Ohio State’s top offensive lineman after becoming an Iron Buckeye in the winter and summer and being named a team captain during preseason camp. As Ohio State’s left tackle, he led the Buckeyes with an 83.5 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, including an 83.3 mark in run blocking and a 73.7 grade in pass protection. Over 810 snaps, he allowed 15 pressures (13 hurries and two quarterback hits) without surrendering a sack.
Sayin completed a school-record 77% of his passes last season — the third-highest completion percentage in FBS history — while throwing for 3,610 yards, 33 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He was one of four Heisman Trophy finalists, finishing fourth behind Fernando Mendoza, Diego Pavia and Jeremiyah Love.
The SEC leads all leagues with 21 players from 12 schools on Walter Camp’s 2026 preseason All-American teams. The Big Ten follows with 16 players from seven schools, while the Big 12 has four players representing four programs.
Texas leads all schools with five selections, while Indiana and Oregon each have four. Ohio State, Georgia and Notre Dame are tied for fourth with three selections apiece.
