He is visiting this weekend and staying overnight. Jones is an OL from Chicago (IL) De La Salle and is in the top 50 for 24/7's early 2014 rankings so he is very elite, especially when I saw him at a camp at OSU in June where he earned his offer.
I was told after his visit for the Ohio State-Michigan game that the Buckeyes have really made quite the impression on Jamarco and his family. It definitely sounds like OSU is in a great position for Jones.
I'm not calling a commit this weekend, as it is very early and he continues to entertain other teams and what they have to offer. However, it may be something to pay attention to.
We all know this staff is going to make the offensive line quite an emphasis for the 2014 haul.
This would be great! If Jones happens to commit, the class of 2014 will already have as many OL as the entire '13 class.

I'm paraphrasing a bit but Urban did say OL was priority 1a, 1b, and 1c for the 2014 class. So let's get this ball rolling!

Kyle Trout is on commit watch, but I don't think Jones will draw it out too much longer. I'd say by April or May he'll be a Buckeye.
2 Jones, Webb and Tout would be a great start to the 2014 class. After seeing Urban close out 2013, my hopes for our 2014 class have no limits.
Question for Derek or really anyone who might have an informed opinion, with Marcelys Jones in, and Trout and Jamarco Jones likely following, which OL are the Buckeyes currently in the best shape with in your opinion? Prince, McDermott, Cole?
I've heard that McDermott told Urban that he has no interest in OSU (even though that contradicts everything that the analysts thought), but who knows?
Also don't think we're in great shape with Cole, I think he ends up at Michigan or stays in Florida. Hopefully Prince is a Buckeye, although guys like Orlando Brown and Roderick Johnson would be awesome additions as well.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.

Marcelys will not be a tackle...but I like the phrase anyways. Maybe Marcelys can be the guard on same side as Jamarco.
Jamarco Jones is a must get for 2014 and would be awesome if he committed.
Would be amazing if both Trout and Jones committed this weekend. If that happened we coudl be EXTREMELY picky with OL commits for the rest of the year.

I'm glad that the staff has seemingly infinite recruiting energy. Watching recruiting on my computer the last couple weeks has so tired me out that I don't know if I'm ready to think about 2014 yet, lol.
Bring on more 2014 commits...I love Urban and this staff. I really hope they stay together for a long time. I do believe we just saw with Urban's comments that this staff (Herman, Withers and the other coaches) are more important than any of us can even come close to comprehending.

At this point its very hard not to see Jamarco and Trout in this class. Roderick Johnson from Mizzou is another one I believe the staff really likes and Zeke has worked on.

Rapture (family of Trout) said that OSU told him that they're taking 4 OL.
However if I had to guess, I'd think that the number will most likely increase to 5.
I'd love a class of Marcelys Jones, Kyle Trout, Jamarco Jones and then two other nationals (either Damian Prince, Braden Smith, Orlando Brown, Steven Moss, Sam Mustipher, Alex Bars, Denzel Ward or Roderick Johnson).
There are still some good instate linemen too like Nathaniel Devers or Nick Richardson but looks like the staff aren't as high on them as some of the recruiting services.
I'd imagine we take 4 true OL then a guy like Mustipher who could play OG or DT at the D1 level

Then focus on bringing in those Georgia boys! Add Lattimore, Berger, and Booker in Ohio. 2014 has me excited!
some of uk current recruits are very good friends with barker, they are now recruiting him very hard to commit to uk.
I would say USC (the SEC one) is his leader of those that have offered him. He has interest in UK as well, but he's visited SoCar a few times and one would assume that they lead.
Is Marcelys Jones still solid to OSU? I remember hearing he was talking to FSU.
I think Marcelys Jones will remain an OSU commit.
Other OL that I have heard they're in decent shape for are Mustipher and Roderick Johnson.
Not optimistic about McDermott or Cole.
Don't really have any info on anyone else.
