Championship weekend in the NFL featured some fantastic plays by former Buckeyes, particularly from the half-dozen or so alumni who will represent the Greatest State in the Union in the Super Bowl as Cincinnati makes its first trip their in those players lifetimes.

Sam Hubbard, Vonn Bell, Eli Apple and yes, Joe Burrow (sorry haters, we just had to mention the pride of Athens County) all had great games versus the Chiefs. Things don't look quite so rosy for the Buckeyes Bengals heading into The Big Game versus the Rams, but still, anything is technically possible.

This week The Dubcast talks about those former Buckeyes, what it was like for a pair of Southern Ohio Boys (yes, I'm a proud S.O.B.) to watch the local team make it back to the promised land, and the odds that a certain Michigan Man decides to return to the professional sport himself as the head coach of the Vikings or Dolphins.

We'll also discuss Ohio State basketball, which successfully avoided the dreaded January slump but also failed to beat any of the ranked teams on its January schedule.

Plus, Ask Us Anything (which, as always, you can do by emailing us at dubcast@elevenwarriors.com) asks who we'd like to see coaching in Ann Arbor when Harbaugh bolts, and about our feelings on the the Damon Arnette situation.

RUN OF THE SHOW

0:00 The playoffs are over, and the Bengals are in the Super Bowl, thanks in no small part to the play of several Ohio State alumni on the roster. Johnny and Andy, being Southern Ohio guys, talk about what it's like seeing the local team getting back into the last game of the season.

09:15 Tom Brady is retiring from the NFL. Speaking of Michigan Men, is Harbaugh going back to the NFL or not? Signs point to... probably?

23:02 Ohio State's basketball team avoided the dreaded January slump, but came up a blocked three-pointer short of taking the Boilermakers to overtime in Mackey Arena. What lies ahead for this team?

31:00 Ask us anything! When Harbaugh inevitably bolts to the NFL, who do we want to see coaching That Team Up North; and a loyal listener asks us to talk about the Damon Arnette situation. Oh, and we go off the script and talk about the Illibuck Trophy for an extended period of time!

43:20 Quick Cals: Ohio State's announced several roster moves this week, including the fact that Sevyn Banks is moving on while several upperclassmen will return. Also, Kyle Snyder is still exceptional, becoming the first American ever to win three Yarygin Grand Prix titles.

And that'll do it! Thanks as always to Travis for the cool, cool logo, thanks to you for listening and checking out the Dry Goods store, and we'll see you next week!
