212 current and former Ohio State athletes, including 14 Buckeye football players, graduated from The Ohio State University on Sunday.
Recent NFL draft picks JT Tuimoloau (communication) and Jordan Hancock (human development and family science) and fellow 2024 national championship starter Carson Hinzman (sport industry) were among the 12,357 total Ohio State students who received degrees during Sunday’s spring commencement at Ohio Stadium.
So too were the father-son tandem of Lorenzo Styles Jr. and Sr. Styles Jr., a fifth-year senior cornerback who’s expected to be the Buckeyes’ starting nickelback this season, received his degree in family resource management. Styles Sr., who played for the Buckeyes in 1992-94, received his diploma in physical education via Ohio State’s degree completion program.

Hinzman, Styles Jr. and tight end Bennett Christian (communication) were the lone members of Ohio State’s 2025 football team who graduated Sunday. Hancock and Tuimoloau were joined by Zak Herbstreit (sport industry), Cameron Kittle (construction systems management), Joop Mitchell (finance), Jalen Pace (sport industry), Austin Snyder (sport industry), Reis Stocksdale (sport industry) and Kourt Williams (journalism) as members of last year’s team who have now concluded their Buckeye careers that earned degrees on Sunday.
Former Ohio State running back Miyan Williams, who left Ohio State after the 2023 season to enter the 2024 NFL draft, also graduated on Sunday after completing his degree in human development and family science.
There were many notable athletes from Ohio State’s other sports teams who also received degrees at Sunday’s spring commencement, including the following among others:

- Gymnast Kameron Nelson, who recently won the NCAA championship in vault
- Two-time Big Ten cross country champion Addie Engel
- Big Ten champion swimmer Nyah Funderburke, the daughter of Ohio State men’s basketball great Lawrence Funderburke
- Men’s basketball player Kalen Etzler and women’s basketball players Madison Greene, Kaia Henderson and Eboni Walker, all of whom concluded their Ohio State careers this past season except Henderson
