Ohio State is finalizing an agreement for a home-and-home series with the Fighting Irish for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 seasons, per multiple reports. Dates for the games have not yet been set.
The Buckeyes hold a 9-4 all-time record against Notre Dame, including a 90-85 road win over the Fighting Irish in their most recent meeting on Dec. 8, 2020. Notre Dame finished the 2024-25 season with a 15-18 record in its second year under former Penn State head coach Micah Shrewsberry, making it three consecutive losing seasons for the Fighting Irish.
Ohio State is on the hunt for its first NCAA Tournament appearance in four seasons entering its second campaign under the leadership of Jake Diebler.
The first game of the home-and-home series will be played in Columbus in 2025-26, with a return game in South Bend, Indiana, for the 2026-27 season.
