Brian Hartline lands another standout wide receiver as Kayden Dixon-Wyatt commits to Ohio State.
Brian Hartline has put the cherry on top of his 2026 wide receiver class.
Ohio State landed yet another talented playmaker on Sunday as four-star California wideout Kayden Dixon-Wyatt committed to the Buckeyes.
“If you want to be an elite receiver, you go to Ohio State,” Dixon-Wyatt said after his commitment announcement.
The Dixon-Wyatt File
- Class: 2026
- Size: 6-2/180
- Pos: WR
- School: Mater Dei (Santa Ana, California)
- Composite Rating: ★★★★
- Composite Rank: #107 (#15 WR)
Dixon-Wyatt is the 12th OSU commit overall and the fourth and potentially final wide receiver commitment in the cycle. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound standout is the high school teammate of fellow OSU wide receiver commit Chris Henry Jr. and now they'll play together at the next level. Jaeden Ricketts and Brock Boyd are the other wideouts in OSU's 2026 class.
Hartline offered Dixon-Wyatt in March of 2024, and the Buckeyes were at the forefront of his recruitment from that point forward. Dixon-Wyatt visited Columbus several times throughout his recruitment, most notably for the home opener in 2024 alongside Henry Jr. and for the final time before his commitment for the Buckeyes' spring game on April 12. He'll take his official visit to Ohio State on May 30.
OSU had to battle the likes of Oregon and USC, both of which made late pushes for Dixon-Wyatt, especially the Ducks. But in the end, Dixon-Wyatt knew the opportunity to be developed by Hartline and Ohio State's track record of sending wide receivers to the NFL in the first round was too good an opportunity to pass up.

Dixon-Wyatt gives OSU a physical wide receiver and a matchup problem for opponents
Per 247Sports' composite rankings, Dixon-Wyatt is considered the No. 107 prospect and No. 15 wide receiver in the 2026 class.
He and Henry Jr. play at California powerhouse Mater Dei — wait a minute, does this mean the "Mater Dei curse" is officially broken at Ohio State?

Anyhow, Dixon-Wyatt recorded 50 receptions, 693 receiving yards and five touchdowns in his junior season. As a sophomore, he racked up 33 catches for 512 yards and six touchdowns.
Dixon-Wyatt is a wideout with tremendous physicality and a nightmare for opposing defensive backs, especially on jump balls. He can line up at any receiving position, as he created big plays last season both from the slot and on the outside.
His size at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds allows him to be a strong blocker, which he does willingly. Dixon-Wyatt's length and physicality are also helpful in fighting off press coverage from cornerbacks. Though he's at his best in jump-ball situations, Dixon-Wyatt possesses better-than-usual speed for someone his size. He's a playmaker in both the red zone and in the downfield passing game.
As always, it's tough to see immediate playing time in Ohio State's loaded wide receiver room, but Dixon-Wyatt has the traits and attributes to be a contributor by his sophomore season if the right factors align for the Santa Ana resident.
