Devontae Armstrong is leaving Ohio State after two seasons as a backup offensive lineman.
Armstrong, a four-star prospect in the recruiting class of 2024 who signed with the Buckeyes alongside his twin brother Deontae, announced Friday that he would enter the transfer portal.

Armstrong did not play any snaps in his two seasons as a Buckeye. He will bring three years of eligibility to his next school.
He’s the first offensive lineman and 13th overall scholarship player from Ohio State’s 2025 roster to enter the transfer portal, joining quarterback Lincoln Kienholz, running backs James Peoples and Sam Dixon, tight end Jelani Thurman, wide receivers Bryson Rodgers and Damarion Witten, defensive ends C.J. Hicks, Dominic Kirks and Logan George, defensive back Bryce West, kicker Jackson Courville and punter Nick McLarty.
