I'll admit, I was at least a little nervous. It's hard not to be, as a fan of a little-heralded football program like Ohio State, especially as they were matched up against the juggernaut that is the Purdue Boilermakers. But our scrappy squad of grinders came out on top Saturday, eking out a win against a team with multiple top-five victories this season and an elite passing attack.

Hopefully this is the kind of victory that will gain Ohio State football some national recognition and respect; it's about time that college football as a whole understands that the Buckeyes are a bonafide contender for the Big Ten East, and (with a little luck) might just take home the conference championship. That'd put them in serious contention for consideration to some of the more prestigious bowls at the end of the season, a prospect that Ohio State fans would surely welcome.

Congratulations to the Ohio State Buckeye football team on their unlikely triumph!

The mighty men of Michigan State are up next as Ohio State continues their march to the Citrus Bowl. See you then!
