Justin Fields, Haskell Garrett, Shaun Wade and Drue Chrisman were named players of the game by Ohio State on Sunday after each of them made big plays in East Lansing on Saturday.

Fields was named Ohio State's offensive player of the game after he passed for 199 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a career-high 104 yards and another two touchdowns to lead the Buckeyes to a 52-12 win.

Garrett and Wade split defensive player of the game honors after both made spectacular interceptions in Saturday's game. Garrett tipped a pass to himself in Michigan State's end zone for his first career interception and touchdown, while Wade picked off a pass for the second game in a row with a beautiful diving interception in the third quarter.

Chrisman, just as he did in his previous game at Spartan Stadium in 2018, had an excellent performance punting the ball on Saturday, averaging 53.4 yards per punt on five punts including two punts that were downed inside the 2-yard line – one of which set up Garrett's pick-six in the end zone, while the other was a career-long 74-yard punt.

Fields has now earned offensive player of the game honors for three of Ohio State's first five games this year, having also been player of the game against Nebraska and Rutgers, while Garrett also earned defensive player of the game honors for his performance in the season opener against Nebraska.
