On Wednesday morning, head coach Urban Meyer officially introduced Ohio State's Supreme '18 recruiting class.

The second-ranked haul consists of 26 prospects from 14 different states, including the Buckeyes' first-ever pledges from Idaho and Oklahoma, and is considered the best recruiting class in program history.

“[It's] a class that I think it follows suit the last two that we have brought in here as far as academic fit for Ohio State University, culture fit and a character fit,” Meyer said. “I just want to credit our staff. They did a phenomenal job.”

Ohio State brought on 21 prospects during the Early Signing Period in December — 22 if you count Cleveland Heights four-star defensive end Tyreke Smith, who faxed in his letter of intent but kept his decision quiet in order to announce his commitment on national television during the Under Armour All-America Game.

The Buckeyes secured pledges from four-star defensive end Tyler Friday and three-star wide receiver Chris Olave in the weeks since, and then put a bow on the class by adding five-star offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere and four-star defensive end Javontae Jean-Baptiste this morning.

“There's nothing quite like walking into a locker room of like-minded people and that's what I believe this class [is]. That's why they came to Ohio State,” Meyer said.

Eleven Warriors has kept you up-to-date on everything happening with National Signing Day since the first letter of intent was faxed in early this morning. But as the recruiting cycle comes to a close, we're excited to present to you the members of Supreme '18:
