The Game Day Weather Forecast is predicting 37º at kickoff today. Ever wonder how Ohio State has performed in games with that exact temperature? You haven't? Well, that means you're normal. But, since you're here, let's take a look at how the Buckeyes have fared in this cold weather.

Five Things 37 Degrees
  1. This will be the ninth time (5–3) Ohio State has played a game with this temperature at kickoff.
  2. The last time Ohio State played a game in this scenario, Purdue kicked the shit out of Urban Meyer's team in last year's West Lafayette debacle.
  3. 1963 was the first time the Buckeyes played in this temperature. They won The Game in Ann Arbor, 14-10.
  4. This is only the second time the team has played under sunny skies and 37º at the opening kick. They lost to Purdue (2018) and No. 11 Iowa (1991) in the previous games.
  5. This will be the seventh straight time (4–2) Ohio State has been ranked when playing at this temperature.
