The question is not where you think Haskins will land, the question is where is the best place for him to land for the greatest chance of long-term NFL success?
We have seen there are risks to the long term development of young QBs who are thrown to the wolves right away (e.g. every Browns Rookie QB since 1999 except Mayfield) and we have seen great reward for many who have watched and learned before having their number called like Rodgers, Brady, and Mahomes.
I believe a perfect spot for Haskins would be the New Orleans Buckeyes. With Brees entering the twighlight of his career, Haskins would have a chance to learn from the legend and hone his skills for a couple of years before inheriting the black and gold crown. Coach Peyton is an offensive innovator that could position Haskins for success similar to how Day worked it at OSU and there would be explosive weapons all around him. Lastly, he would get to reunite with many former teammates and Buckeyes.
So what say you? Which team would be the best landing spot for Haskins’ long term success in the NFL?
