The Shoe has seen its share of electric environments through the years. From my time as a fan, you can point to the 1995 clash with Notre Dame, the 2005 Texas game, the instant classic version of The Game in 2006, Curtis Samuel's triumphant double-overtime winner against the Wolverines in 2016, the J.T. Barrett going ham against Penn State in 2017, and more recently, the Buckeyes' 42-17 hammering of Tennessee the first ever postseason game in the Shoe in December.
I don't know if it's recency bias, the orange in the stadium, the historic nature of the game or the cathartic nature of the romp, but the Tennessee CFP game ranks highly on my list. There was something special about hearing an "S-E-C!" chant in the Shoe in the second quarter.
What about you? What home game did you attend with the most electric atmosphere?
