No surprise here: Jeremiah Smith and Caleb Downs have both been named preseason All-Americans by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

Smith and Downs, who were also revealed Tuesday to be the two highest-rated players in EA Sports College Football 26, are the only Buckeyes on this year’s preseason Walter Camp All-America teams.

Both of them are looking to repeat as Walter Camp All-Americans. Downs earned first-team Walter Camp All-America honors last year on his way to being named a unanimous All-American while Smith, as a freshman, earned second-team Walter Camp All-American honors in 2024.
