Paramus Catholic's Jabrill Peppers, one of the best players at any position in the class of 2014 has started blogging for USA Today.
What it do y'all!
I'm kicking off my new blog here at USA Today HSS talking about my life and things like that. So I guess I should say "Welcome to Breezy's world!"
That's what most people call me.
Most people don't know that I'm a music artist. They only know that I play football, but I've been singing and rapping as long as I've been playing football; since the age of 4 or 5.
I'm pretty versatile musically; I do R&B and hip hop.
I don't like to compare myself to any artist because I'm pretty much my own guy. Most rappers can't rhyme to certain beats or certain types of music, but I can have a hot 16 bars with anything that you put on.
I have two songs coming out soon.
On his recruitment:
I can't even tell you how many offers I've got. I lost count. But I'm the kind of person who doesn't even care about that type of stuff. The amount of offers a player has doesn't make them who they are because you've still gotta prove it when you get on the field. What you do there is the only thing that actually matters.
You can't get caught up in all that stuff because it can get crazy.
I took visits to Michigan, Ohio State, LSU and I'm planning a visit to Stanford soon, but I'm not sure when that's gonna be just yet. My recruitment has been a little different, I think.
I don't really get too many coaches that use "recruiting tactics" to try and get me to their school. I'm street smart and I can see right through that early. I'll usually just call them out on it. I think the word got around because they don't do that with me.
I will say that all of the coaches know about my music and so they definitely talk to me about music or they tell me to send them my songs and things like that.
I do feel like I'm gonna be coming to a decision soon though. I just want it all to be over and done with.
Oh, and if you want to check out his music, here you go:
