I was standing outside of tOSU tunnel at the game as the players came in and out for warmups. Vrabel ran by and out to the field with a bloody mess on his shirt. Wasn't able to see his face, but an odd scene. All my dad and I could deduct is that he got a little fired up before the game and was doing a little head butting. Anyone know anything? Curious.

No one else see this?
I didn't see it but I'd be interested in hearing some more about it.
He head-butted Linsley, which caused a large cut on his forehead. The old player still has the same intensity! I love seeing it.
Linsley was fired up for this game- head butting Vrabel, getting into it with TSUN players and having to be held back by another teammate before the game, and some serious eyeblack- looked like a lacrosse player or a pro wrestler. Stoneburner often looks like a lacrosse player, but it looked like most of the offensive line put on the warpaint for this game. (Sorry, the former lacrosse mom in me is coming out, I notice stuff like that. OK, this thread can now go back to relevancy.)
I thought he went to have a few words with Kyle Kalis.

:D
I would imagine Kalis was at home watching the game on TV since he wasn't good enough to play this year.
He was good enough to start Middle Bench

As a redshirt, It's quite possible that they dropped him in Cleveland on the way down haha
Hartsock, thanks. Guess we assumed right. How did you find this out?
I just know some people.

so Linsley had his helmet on?
that's awesome lol, get em vrable hehehe
that is awesome!!! gotta love the intensity! that's a great story for when he is on the recruiting trail also - no one can question what that game means to Buckeyes!!!
That's really awesome...and really dumb of Vrabel. Love the intensity, poor decision making skills.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
Eh, whatever works to fire your team up, though I'm sure Coach Vrabel had some serious pain and discomfort the following morning and probably needed stiches. I'm also sure the victory lessened it for the most part LOL

Somewhat unrelated but I met Vrabel at the City BBQ in Powell once. He's a really cool dude. When my gf and I were done eating, she went next door to Graeter's to get some ice cream while I waited outside. While I was waiting, Mickey Marotti walked into Graeter's! It was crazy haha
I've never met the guy, but I remember hearing Mike Ricordati from Common Man & Torg say many times that he did not like Vrabel and that Vrabel was a jerk or a douche or something like that. This was prior to Vrabel coming back to OSU as a coach last year, but I never really heard why he thought that.
I like having coaches with an edge to them. Even if Vrabel is abrasive he's one hell of a coach and DL recruiter and has 3 Super Bowl rings to boot. Ive heard he's pretty cool myself.

Vrabel is a bro, Ricordati certainly is not, so I can see where they probably wouldn't find much in common.
Vrabel has always been nice any time I've interacted with him.
Vrabel is hard core. This proves it. He strikes me as the type of guy who would jump in the circle without pads and mix it up with his guys. Still can't get out of my head the sight of him heading to the locker room at the spring game...full sprint up the tunnel. He's one intense dude. Who wouldn't want to play for a guy like that?
