S C.J. Barnett and RB Rod Smith went down with injuries during Wednesday's lively indoor scrimmage. Coach Urban Meyer said Bennett's injury was a muscle problem. Smith was slow to get up after a hard hit. Meyer also said freshman DL Se'Von Pittman sprained a knee last week and it's doubtful he'll return before the end of spring practice next week.

Pretty sure they decided to sit Pittman out for the remainder of the spring as a precaution.
vacuuming sucks
You mean Barnett went down with a muscle problem. Or was Michael Bennett also hurt?
I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.
JACK TATUM
Pittman sprained his mcl he'll be out the rest of spring
Hope Jacoby Boren does well after his recent labrum surgery. That's a dandy to recover from but they wanted him to be full strength for September. Urban is very high on him. Good luck Jacoby.
Also, don't forget incoming OT Kyle Dodson is recovering from torn labrum surgery. I hope he and Jacoby both have a quick recovery (not to mention Nate Williams). I also heard Evan Spencer was wearing an arm brace, so I hope he'll be okay.
I thought I read somewhere that Rod Smith was getting into it with a couple of LBs. Hmmm... seems like the Smith-saga keeps growing, unfortunately :-\
I'm highly doubting, at this point, that we land his little (big) brother. :-\
I also heard WRs and DBs were getting into it. I wouldn't read too much into that.
When practices are that competitive players are going to get into it. That's what happens with spirited competition. It will only make the players better!
Tough times never last, tough people do
You gotta remember, urban is looking for competitors. Wouldn't say smith mixing it up with lbs is going to affect him adversly. Urbans comments on yesterdays practice were that the intensity level was the best itss been all spring. Emotions run high in any physically competitive situation. As long as you can walk away from it and it doesn't become a recurring thing, I wouldn't think he would punish him for showing a little fire.
