Tom Herman is staying in Houston, albeit not without a substantial payday. The former Ohio State offensive coordinator, who you might not know is a MENSA member, took time out of his preparation for American Athletic Conference championship showdown with Temple to sign a new five-year deal that more than doubles his salary.

Could be quite the week of business for Herman, who could reportedly earn an extra $1 million in bonus if Houston beats Temple for the AAC title.

That game kicks off Saturday at noon. Herman, a co-AAC Coach of the Year, is basically begging Houston fans to attend.
