Shane Falco is a kindred spirit. I know he's not real, and is much better looking, and more athletic, and okay maybe we're not that similar, but the truth is that The Replacements captures a certain ennui that as a mediocre-to-bad athlete I've become extremely familiar with.

So yeah, it's a dumb movie, but it's my kind of dumb movie, and it's great. Plus, I mean, the (entirely fictional) dude went to Ohio State. That's got to count for something.

And that's what we're doing on the Dubcast this week! We promised you a podcast about sports movies, and here it is! Oh, and yes, Rudy was discussed, but we can't really add anything to the discussion that hasn't already been said by our old friend Mr. Byrnes.

Ask Us Anything (which you can do via e-mail and Twitter) and in-depth discussions of guys wearing masks at the Woody will be back next week, but until then, don't forget to rate and subscribe to us on iTunes, Spotify, or Google Podcasts!

0:00 Laying the ground rules: Best, worst, and most accurate sports movies will be discussed. Let's start with football and why The Blind Side sucks.

26:25 Hoosiers is a great movie. Duh. It's also much, much better than Rudy.

44:40 An extended discussion of the Rocky movies plus an obligatory Air Bud shout out.

And that's it! Thanks as always to you for listening and checking out the Dry Goods store, thanks to Travis for the sweet logo, and we'll see you all next week!
