Quinshon Judkins won’t face a formal charge for his domestic violence arrest last month.
A spokesperson for the Broward State Attorney’s Office told ESPN on Thursday that prosecutors decided not to file a formal misdemeanor battery charge against Judkins, ending the case against the former Ohio State running back following his arrest on July 12 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

According to the decline memorandum by the State Attorney’s Office, prosecutors determined there was “no reasonable likelihood of conviction” due to several factors including a lack of video surveillance, a lack of independent witnesses to the incident and delayed reporting of the incident.

Judkins, who the Cleveland Browns selected with the No. 36 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, is currently the only unsigned member of the 2025 NFL draft class as the Browns asked him not to report to training camp while the legal process played out. Now that the investigation has ended, Judkins is expected to return to the Browns.

Judkins could still potentially face a suspension from the NFL if the league determines he violated its personal conduct policy, as the NFL’s own investigation into the arrest continues.
