Went to a Piqua City Commission meeting last night to inquire about the historic Piqua Mill building currently in the hands of an avaricious Tipp City miser.

As it turns out, an influential member of the Atomic City government reads 11W. After a post-meeting discussion with this visionary, I am putting Tipp City, Vandalia, Troy, and Sidney on notice:

The Piqua slander in the Miami River Valley died a violent death around 8:30 p.m. ET.

A new era is en route, and the options for opponents are thus: Put a knee in the dirt and give us alll your disposable income or get washed away by the impending economic tsunami.

Word of the Day: Venal.

THEY BOUGHT IN AND DUMPED SPARTY. Urban Meyer rules the Ohio State football program with an iron fist. But it didn't always use to be that way.

Flash back to Sept. 29, 2012. Ohio State stands at 4-0 behind its new coach. Michigan State stands at 3-1 and No. 20 in the country.

Ohio State exited East Lansing with a 17-16 win.

It was then, according to offensive coordinator Tom Herman, the team bought into what Meyer was selling.

Hilarious to me a bunch of 18-22 year-olds needed convinced of a two-time champion's prowess, but such is the psyche of 18-22 year-olds.

The highlights of that game are amazing, by the way. Braxton Miller played quarterback—who knew!?

MEYER THE TOP RANKED BOSS. College football coaches make millions of dollars a year, but only 11 Power Five coaches with five years head coaching have winning records against ranked opponents.

Meyer is No. 1.

From fbschedules.com:

3. NICK SABAN – ALABAMA – 73-40 (64.6%)
21 seasons as an FBS head coach (Toledo 1990, Michigan State 1995-99, LSU 2000-04 and Alabama 2007-present). 50-16 vs. Top 25 at Alabama.

2. DAVID SHAW – STANFORD – 20-10 (66.7%)
6 seasons as an FBS head coach (Stanford 2011 – present).

1. URBAN MEYER – OHIO STATE – 35-14 (71.4%)
15 seasons as an FBS head coach (Bowling Green 2001-02, Utah 2003-04, Florida 2005-10 and Ohio State 2012-present). 15-4 vs. Top 25 at Ohio State.

This settles it. Urban Meyer is the greatest coach in the history of the sport. Don't worry, Michigan fans, y'all still have that time your coach lost a Super Bowl to his big brother.

WEBER: THE NO. 1 PLAYMAKER? Most Ohio State fans would probably consider J.T. Barrett to be the No. 1 returning playmaker of the offense (unless, of course, they're of the persuasion Barrett is bad).

But there's an argument to be made—an argument I didn't believe until I heard it out—that Mike Weber is the No. 1 playmaker returning to the offense this year.

From theozone.net:

Weber spent the offseason working on his ability to make big plays. A shoulder injury late in the year slowed him down, but he left plenty of big hits on the field well before his shoulder injury. The focus in the spring was on eliminating the trip-ups that saw him miss out on a number of gigantic holes. There were probably six or seven big-time runs that were eliminated by a single perfectly-timed hand on a cleat. Weber should be running through those more this year.

He is also simply a better all-around running back. That’s a natural progression. His coaches are thrilled with where he is right now as a player and a leader.

A year ago, Weber expected to rush for 2,000 yards. He had a run-in with realism as a freshman, but his goals are probably still intact. While 2,000 yards isn’t really doable with so many ground options, Weber could certainly average 125 yards per game on the ground. What the Buckeyes will want from him most, however, is fourth-quarter dominance. The increase in long runs will simply be a bonus.

To make matters worse for opposing defenses, Weber harnessed a diet of pineapple and tuna to trim body fat while preserving lean muscle.

From his Instagram story:

Mike Weber (beast mode)

If Weber can do away with shoestring tackles, look out. He would leave Ohio State with Carlos Hyde-esque draft stock.

SQUATS A WAY OF LIFE IN SIMON HOUSEHOLD. John Simon is just getting settled in Indianapolis, but it's no surprise the squat rack was one of the first appliances he installed in his new house.

Can't wait to cover Simon's four-star son in the 2033 recruiting cycle and age 1,000 years.

GET DUMPED THEN, MICHIGAN. People have apparently disrespected Florida, and Gator running back Mark Thompson is FED UP.

I will not be cheering for Florida, just like I will not be cheering for Michigan. I will be satisfied knowing one of those clown teams will start the season 0-1, just like the Florida State–Alabama game.
