TreVeyon Henderson was drafted just two picks after Quinshon Judkins.
After the Cleveland Browns selected Quinshon Judkins with the 36th overall pick, the New England Patriots took Ohio State’s other running back with the No. 38 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Henderson is the fourth running back off the board in the 2025 NFL draft, following Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty (No. 6, Las Vegas Raiders), North Carolina’s Omarion Hampton (No. 22, Los Angeles Chargers) and Judkins.
Ohio State's 2025 NFL Draft Picks
- Emeka Egbuka: Round 1, No. 19, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Donovan Jackson: Round 1, No. 24, Minnesota Vikings
- Tyleik Williams: Round 1, No. 28, Detroit Lions
- Josh Simmons: Round 1, No. 32, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Quinshon Judkins: Round 2, No. 36, Cleveland Browns
- TreVeyon Henderson: Round 2, No. 38, New England Patriots
- JT Tuimoloau: Round 2, No. 45, Indianapolis Colts
Henderson was the sixth Buckeye selected in this year’s draft, joining Emeka Egbuka, Donovan Jackson, Tyleik Williams, Josh Simmons and Judkins, as Ohio State had six players selected in the top 40 picks of an NFL draft for the first time ever.
Ohio State is the first school to have two running backs selected in the first two rounds of the draft since Georgia’s Sony Michel and Nick Chubb were first- and second-round picks in 2018. It’s the first time Ohio State has had multiple running backs drafted in the same year since Jeff Cothran, Raymont Harris and Butler By’not’e were all drafted in 1994, though Ohio State had both a running back (Jonathan Wells) and a fullback (Jamar Martin) drafted in 2002.
Henderson is the first Buckeye drafted by the New England Patriots since Nate Ebner in 2012.
Henderson’s selection comes after a four-year career at Ohio State in which he ran for 3,761 yards and 42 touchdowns on 590 carries and added 77 receptions for 853 yards and six touchdowns. As a senior, Henderson was one of four captains and one of the top offensive weapons for Ohio State’s 2024 national championship team, rushing for 1,016 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 144 carries and catching 27 passes for 284 yards, highlighted by his 75-yard catch-and-run touchdown against Texas in OSU’s CFP semifinal win at the Cotton Bowl.
Henderson nearly entered the 2024 NFL draft, but instead chose to stay at Ohio State for his senior season. Now, he brings a national championship ring with him to the league as he begins his NFL career.
