Former LSU wide receiver Kyle Parker becomes Ohio State's 16th transfer commitment entering 2026.
Ohio State just strengthened its wide receiver room with a face familiar to new wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton.
Former LSU wide receiver Kyle Parker committed to Ohio State from the transfer portal on Friday, joining his former position coach from the Tigers.

The Parker File
- Year: Redshirt Junior
- Size: 5-11/195
- Pos: WR
- Previous School: LSU (2023-25)
- 2025 Stats: 31 receptions, 330 yards, four touchdowns
Parker recorded 31 receptions for 330 yards and four touchdowns as a redshirt sophomore at LSU this past season and will bring two years of eligibility to Ohio State. At 5-foot-11, he operated primarily out of the slot and figures to stay in that position with the Buckeyes, though they return last year's starting slot receiver, Brandon Inniss.
A four-star prospect ranked 330th overall and 47th at wide receiver in the recruiting class of 2023, Parker is considered the No. 343 overall player and No. 65 wide receiver in the transfer portal by 247Sports. He played prep ball for Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas, the same high school that produced current Ohio State linebacker Payton Pierce. Parker was just one grade above Pierce.

Parker is the second receiver to commit to the Buckeyes out of the transfer portal, joining former UTSA wideout Devin McCuin. McCuin's speed and fluid athleticism make him a candidate for the slot position as well, but given that he played outside with the Roadrunners and Inniss and Parker have been slot receivers throughout their careers, he's a more likely candidate to either start or provide depth at Ohio State's Z receiver position unless there's a plan to move Inniss outside. Incoming five-star freshman Chris Henry Jr. might also be too good to keep off the field at an outside receiver spot.
If nothing else, Parker provides needed depth and experience at the receiver position for the Buckeyes after they lost Bryson Rodgers (South Florida), Quincy Porter (Notre Dame), Mylan Graham (Notre Dame), Damarion Witten and Bodpegn Miller to the transfer portal.
Ohio State is set to retain rising junior Jeremiah Smith, the brightest star on its team, as well as Inniss and redshirt freshmen Phillip Bell and De'Zie Jones from its 2025 receiver room. Four-stars Jerquaden Guilford and Jaeden Ricketts and three-star Brock Boyd join Henry as incoming freshman wide receivers for the Buckeyes.
