Mylan Graham will not tap into the promise of his five-star recruiting rating at Ohio State.
On Sunday, the redshirt freshman wide receiver entered the transfer portal with three seasons of eligibility remaining, capping a two-year career in Columbus.

Graham was the No. 33 overall prospect and the No. 7 wide receiver in the 247Sports composite rankings for the class of 2024. Arriving in the summer before his freshman year, he spent a season redshirting and developing behind the more veteran Ohio State wideouts and then-freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith.
A massive showing in the Buckeyes' 2025 spring game, where he had four receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown, generated excitement for Graham's redshirt freshman campaign, but that turned out to be more production than he had during the entire 2025 season. He finished the 2025 season with six receptions for 93 yards.
Graham told Eleven Warriors at Ohio State’s media day before last week’s Cotton Bowl that he had to work on becoming more consistent and playing with more physicality, but felt like he was close to breaking through.
“I feel like I'm right there,” Graham said. “Obviously, with what I'm sitting behind, it's kind of hard for me just watching those two guys do what they do, but I feel like I'm right there.”
Instead of competing for a starting job with Carnell Tate likely off to the NFL draft, however, Graham has decided to continue his college career elsewhere.
Graham's departure cuts back on options to line up alongside returning starters Smith and Brandon Inniss in 2026. Fellow second-stringer Bryson Rodgers entered the portal in December, leaving rising sophomore Quincy Porter and incoming five-star prospect Chris Henry Jr. as the primary contenders to take over for Tate. Ohio State is also actively pursuing transfer portal options at the receiver position, including Texas' DeAndre Moore (who is currently visiting the Buckeyes), Old Dominion’s Tre Brown and Georgia Tech's Isiah Canion.
Smith, Tate and Inniss all expressed sadness over Graham’s departure on social media.
