Just saw Bryson DeChambeau was assessed a 2 stroke penalty after the round was completed. He is accused of stomping the ground behind his ball in the fescue on the 5th hole to give himself a better lay in the grass.
Bummer because he was in solo 2nd place before this penalty & would’ve been in the final pairing heading into the weekend. Bryson did not taking the news well, after a failed dispute over the ruling he threatened to withdraw from the tournament.
