Reading the 11W story on the cancellation, I was surprised by this nugget:
Asked whether the decision to cancel the game was a voluntary decision by Ohio State or because the program had reached the Big Ten's thresholds forcing a cancellation, an Ohio State spokesperson said he could only say the game was canceled.
I get not revealing the names of the players under protecting student privacy, but not giving out this basic information as to why it was cancelled strikes me as off.
Was it
1) B1G policy?
2) Ohio State is more interested in not spreading the virus than playing football and took this precautionary step, but does not want to incite the most angry Buckeye fan?
