I understand players being frustrated by the Big Ten and Pac 10's mutual suicide pact, but that do players gain from opting out now?
The NFL draft is now until April at the absolute earliest, which is over 7 months away. NFL teams are starting starting their seasons now, not really paying attention to who is opting out of their college years.
In terms of training, nutrition, etc., I would think you would be better off staying with the team and having access to their whole staff as opposed to I guess hiring your own training people who don't even know you? It really makes no sense to me. I didn't even really understand it when Nick Bosa did it, as he could have continued to rehab. with the team after his injury even if he knew he was not coming back to play for OSU.
All I can say is I hope Davis' decision does not cause others to opt out now.
