Mike Elko Leaving Notre Dame for Texas A&M

Another $2,000,000 coordinator. As reported by DJ earlier, LSU is paying theirs $2.5M. A few questions about this:

Is this the new standard?
How does this impact Nortre Dame's class? (if they haven't already signed)
Is this bad for non-Power 5 programs? It seems they will have a harder time hiring the up and coming coordinator as their head coach because the Power 5 programs will just pay them more to stay as the coordinator.
