LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda is the latest coordinator to cash in on historically high coaching salaries.
Texas A&M, who just shelled out a guaranteed $75 million to a coach coming off a six-loss season at Florida State, apparently brought out their oil money in attempt to lure Aranda to College Station.
LSU rallied the Brinks trucks, however.

LSU finished with the No. 18 defense in S&P+ in 2017 with Aranda making $1.8 million.
For comparison, Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano, architect of the No. 8 defense in the country, made $700,000 last year.
