Just as we finished up car payments on our SUVs and entered the bliss that is life without car payments, Mrs. Dante dropped the bomb on me, kid #3 is on the way.
I resisted, I fought, I threatened unspeakable things, and then I took a used 2014 Honda Odyssey on a test drive and am now trying to figure out how I get to wheel the kid wagon over my wife.
I think we're going to ultimately end up with a 2018 Odyssey EX-L. Way more than I want to spend and I had sworn off new cars all together after Mrs. Dante has treated her (formerly) brand new car like a trash can and the used Odyssey's hold their value to the point its not a monumental leap to go up to new.
What are everyone's thoughts? Should I put my balls in a Mason jar and give them to the wife? Or am I settling into fatherhood with a logical and responsible vehicle to tote the kids around in?
