Former Wolverine coach Bo Schembechler fell ill during the taping of a college football show, but after paramedics arrived, he began to feel better and insisted on finishing the taping of the show. Get well coach and remember, the sickness you experienced today will pale in comparison to the tummy ache you'll have on November 18th.

Pat Forde of ESPN looks at the practice of coaches being escorted off the field by police. Bear Bryant is believed to have been the first to have started this trend and Forde exposes the obvious fact that this is considered a plum detail for policemen. Maybe, but the on-field escort has nothing on the troopers standing on the top of the Shoe.

The Dispatch checks in with news that tOSU and hoops coach Thad Matta have agreed to a new contract. The new contract would replace the eightyear, $11.1 million deal the men’s basketball coach signed only 19 months ago. Kudos to Thad. Any way we can slip some more money to the Vest?
