The way Austin Siereveld's stock has soared this offseason, the sky might not be able to contain him.
Named a starter by Ryan Day on Ohio State's offensive line in the spring before his position was even solidified, Siereveld was twice named an Iron Buckeye this offseason and has overtaken the Buckeyes' entire offensive tackle room after moving there from guard to now be the projected starting left tackle.
On Saturday, Siereveld landed perhaps his biggest achievement yet when he was selected as a captain alongside Sonny Styles, Brandon Inniss and Caleb Downs. Styles also landed Ohio State's "Block O" jersey in 2025.
Downs and Styles were easy predictions for captains, and Styles' likely Block O jersey-wearing was one of the worst-kept secrets of the offseason for the Buckeyes' biggest leader. But like Siereveld, Inniss continues an offseason surge with his selection, already a vocal leader on the team even though he’ll be making his first career start against Texas.
Eleven Warriors’ Dan Hope and Andy Anders break down Ohio State's captain selections and other potential leaders in a new episode of Press Coverage, which you can watch at the top of the page.
