It's no surprise Styles made the list, considering he'll don the Block O this season. The senior is expected to be one of the Buckeyes' standout players this season and will provide a steady presence at linebacker.
Downs may have transferred in last season, but the premier safety has already won over the OSU coaching staff and players with his leadership. Arguably the best defensive player in America, Downs was a no-doubter for captain as he enters his junior season.
Siereveld earned Iron Buckeye honors twice this offseason and the respect of the entire team for his work in the weight room and on the field. He appears well on his way to cementing himself as the Buckeyes' starting left tackle.
Inniss may not lead OSU's receivers in yardage this season, but he's the most vocal leader in the room. Inniss and Emeka Egbuka were Ohio State’s most vocal wideouts last season and now Inniss will take the torch from Egbuka both on and off the field, as he replaces Egbuka in the starting lineup at slot receiver alongside Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate.
It’s the second year in a row that Ohio State will have exactly four captains with two on offense and two on defense.
