Ehh, I'm sure that Meyer already let the guys know upfront way back when what reinstatement conditions would have to be met even if charges were dropped. Have to believe Mewhort's charges will be dropped shortly also.

Which one was the last to come out of "hiding" after the so-called chase?
I think Mewhort is the one who really extended 'the chase', and after being threatened the search would continue ala kanine, walked out of the woods.
It really seems as if nothing was dropped. They both pled out to lesser charges paid a $299 fine and court fees and are now trying to get back in Meyer's good graces.

@RDubs - It was reported yesterday that Stoneys charges were dropped. The article you refer to is dated June 15.
Look I have never been arrested and don't have much dealing with the legal system, but it seems to me that this new report is likely erroneous because charges don't get dropped after someone pleads guilty.
I guess my point is that the charges weren't dropped they were just settled a month ago and no one seemed to realize it.
EDIT: Also I have yet to find multiple credible sources on this new report.
All you have to do is go to google or yahoo search and type in "Stoneburner charges dropped" and a list of many credible sources appear. Since you instructed me yesterday I will help you.
I did and the top source is the Akron Beacon Journal blog that references an ABC report that appears to have been removed from their site. The Dispatch hasn't run it, the Plain-Dealer hasn't run it. I am pretty sure someone got confused and ran a story with no support for it.
I heard the same "report" last night but there seems to be no fire after the smoke cleared in this case. Look at the link in my previous post. When would prosecutors drop charges after defendents pled guilty to a lesser charge?

WSYX has removed the report from their site as well. It's a 404 now. Hate to throw cold water on this, but...
Jason - Could it be that pending criminal charges were dropped with only the disorderly conduct charge intact? Someone on another board reported that was the case. He supposedly ended up getting the $299 fine that goes with the disorderly and that will be the end of it.
It seems like the writing is on the wall for the charges to be reduced or dropped....course that writing was on a wall in Dublin and has since evaporated..
They both pleaded guilty to the reduced charge. This is public records stuff and it's pretty amateur reporting that missed something like that. There is nothing to drop and they're done with their cases.
Also note that I got "there"/"they're"/"their" in the same sentence. Obviously I loved the Nerd's Guide to 2012.
