Former Ohio State student Reagan Tokes would have been 23 years old Tuesday. Instead, her family huddled in a Franklin County courtroom as a jury convicted 30-year-old Brian Golsby on all counts in Tokes' rape and murder.

Golsby faced charges of aggravated murder, kidnapping, rape, aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence, and use of a weapon while under restriction—among others.

Prosecutors said Golsby stalked Ohio State's campus on Feb. 8, 2017 before spotting Tokes leaving her shift at Bodega Cafe on High Street.

From abc6onyourside.com:

“He had her for two hours thinking what he’s going to do to her,” Assistant Prosecutor Jennifer Rausch said in her closing statements. She said DNA indicates Golsby raped his victim as GPS coordinates from his ankle bracelet showed he was with Tokes at several bank ATMs. Prosecutors said he forced her to take out cash.

Prosecutors told the jury Golsby shot his Tokes twice in the head at Scioto Grove Metro Park to cover up that night of terror.

Jurors will decide in the coming days if he will receive the death penalty.

Golsby also faces a second trial for robbery and kidnapping charges related to a crime spree in German Village in the weeks prior to Tokes' death.
