Ohio State's leadership said all the right things heading into the season opener versus Notre Dame, and after four quarters of football things look pretty much on track for the 2022 Buckeye football squad. Yes, it was a "gritty" win in a game that the Buckeyes had to win "ugly," at least, if your definition of "ugly" is a double-digit win over a Top-5 opponent that only scored 10 points all night.

But hey, we get it! It's only a single game, small sample size, we lived through the Cooper years... it's too soon to declare definitively that the defense is "fixed." And yet! That first outing looked like an excellent indicator of good things to come.

This week The Dubcast offers our first impressions of the new-look defense. We'll also discuss why it felt like the offense sputtered initially, and why this is almost certainly not cause for alarm.

We'll share your #takes from Twitter (you should totally Tweet us @ElevenDubcast), and there are some excellent tweets to chat about this week.

Ask Us Anything asks about Michigan's laughably easy strength of schedule, our picks for team MVPs, and what instruments we'd play if we were members of TBDBITL. An important reminder: you can ask us all kinds of fantastical things by sending us questions to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com!

And that'll do it! Thanks as always to you for listening and checking out the Dry Goods store, thanks to Travis for the cool logo, and we'll see you next week!
