One of Ohio's professional football teams made it back to the Super Bowl for the first time in a generation, and the game was extremely entertaining. Far from the blowout that seemed destined given the Los Angeles Rams' relative strengths, Cincinnati actually held the lead late in the ballgame until some untimely (and in one case highly questionable) penalty flags gave the host team one too many chances to score.

With Ohio State's Spring Game 60 days away and the season opener versus Notre Dame just 200 out, we find ourselves in that challenging period of the year in which there is no football. But fear not friend, for this too shall pass!

This week the Dubcast breaks down The Big Game, including our Child of the '90s feelings about the halftime show (which was, as the kids say these days, "lit"). We'll also talk about Ohio State basketball and how things look for the local team heading into its final weeks of the regular season.

Plus, Ask Us Anything (which, as always, you can do by emailing us at dubcast@elevenwarriors.com) asks for our favorite life hacks, why on earth they make trucks without four-wheel drive, and why Ohio State hasn't opened its arms to Terrelle Pryor and Maurice Clarett after all these years.

RUN OF THE SHOW

0:00 Ohio State was as well represented in the Super Bowl as any university in the country, and its alumni acquitted themselves rather well, despite the outcome of the game.

08:39 Can the Bengals get back to the promised land again? Joe Burrow is legit, but without a solid offensive line, how long will he be healthy enough to win at a high rate?

13:45 Mike Vrabel earns NFL Coach of the Year honors; he is just the fourth former Buckeye player to become an NFL head coach... which seems like a very small number.

18:50 Ohio State's basketball team remains undefeated at home, and comes back to The Schott after handing That Team Up North a drubbing in Ann Arbor. How is the team positioned heading into the final weeks of the regular season?

29:05 Oh, we forgot to talk about the Super Bowl halftime show! Having spent many of our formative years in the '90s, we loved it. Forgot about Dre? Nope!

39:05 Ask us anything! Do we have any great life hacks, why do they make pickup trucks without four-wheel drive, and why can't Ohio State kiss and make up with a couple of its all-time greats?

62:00 Quick Cals: Ohio State opens up as a betting favorite against Georgia and Alabama in next season's College Football Playoff if you're into that sort of thing; The Buckeyes' winter workouts have been more intense than ever; and Ohio State athletes are tops in the country in NIL compensation.

And that'll do it! Thanks as always to Travis for the cool, cool logo, thanks to you for listening and checking out the Dry Goods store, and we'll see you next week!
