The Midwest is really a great setting for horror and science fiction. Aside from the rust belt-y creepiness that every city and town takes on at night, there's a sense that once you get outside of those sleepy little towns, things get all gnarled and brambly and isolated extremely quickly. There's a genuine unsettling danger to it, and slasher movies and Netflix smash hits have been making hay off of that atmosphere for years.

So does the intersection of encroaching autumn, and Bloomington, and a road game give Kevin and I pause? No! It doesn't! Indiana isn't going to win! The end!

Also we get into the fact that I'm stuck watching Michigan football for eternity, Joey Football tearing it up in the Bayou, and of course, Ask Us Anything (which you can do via e-mail and Twitter). If you enjoyed this week's Dubcast, check us out on iTunes, Google Podcasts, or Spotify.

0:00 The Cincinnati game went extremely well for yours truly. I'm pretty happy about it.

15:07 John Mellencamp sucks. YEAH THAT'S RIGHT.

24:21 Ask Us Anything wants us to gaze into a hellworld of multiple 6-8 win seasons. Maybe in a row!

And that'll do it, thanks to Travis for the cool, cool logo, thanks to you for listening and checking out our Dry Goods store, and we'll see you next week!
