Well, it was a quiet few days in the world of Ohio State. Then Joe Burrow announced that he was transferring, and like manna from Heaven, so too does offseason breaking sports news fall into the mouths of people who talk about it every week.

This is, obviously, a huge shakeup of the Ohio State football roster, and basically settles the question of who the starting quarterback is going to be for the Buckeyes in the 2018 season. That's uh... kind of a big deal! Beau and I talk about what that means going forward for the Buckeyes, potential landing spots for Burrow, and the real winner in all of this, Kevin Harrish's nascent crush on Tate Martell.

But that's not all, because we also brought in Robert J. Roman, author of Ohio State Football: The Forgotten Dawn, a really great read about the origins of the species, so to speak. There were decades of college football that took place in Columbus before Chic Harley came on the scene, and Robert gives us a ton of insight into what that looked like.

All that, plus Ask Us Anything (which you can do via e-mail and Twitter), where we give you the details about how many towels we use when we stay in hotels. Oh and hey, if you love the Dubcast, please go ahead and rate and subscribe to us on iTunes!

0:00 Adieu, fightin' Joe! Joe Burrow's departure means that another school is going to get one hell of a quarterback, but will it be in the Big Ten?

15:12 Robert Roman has a ton of really great insight into the early years of Ohio State football, particularly where it sat in relation to the other (now mostly deceased) football powers in the state of Ohio. Spoiler alert: they weren't wild about a big, dumb Land-Grant College making noise on their turf.

28:57 Ask Us Anything wants us to talk about LeBron. Gosh, I don't know, maybe you can talk us into having a wide ranging discussion about this insane wizard-god from Akron, but really I'm more locked into the poutine conversation.

And that'll do it! Thanks to you for listening and checking out our Dry Goods store, thanks to Travis for our kickass logo, and we'll see you guys next week!
